In 2020, we have witnessed several industries that have changed and evolved while still protecting its core today. One of the industries that has been affected by this change is the second-hand automobile market. Because of Covid-19 pandemic, interest in the second-hand market has increased even more in order to provide safer transportation for individuals. A combination of consumers' desire to use their savings from the pandemic to buy durable goods like cars, along with their unwillingness to use public transportation, exceeds demand for vehicles. The increased demand for vehicles and scarcity of resources have made purchasing an automobile more challenging than before. Therefore, as vehicle prices went up, financial options became more appealing.

Volkswagen Doğuş Finans (VDF); It was established with the cooperation of Volkswagen Financial Services and Doğuş Group, aiming to bring together the most attractive options in vehicle financing with its customers. Volkswagen Doğuş Finans, (VDF) plays a crucial role in overcoming the financial obstacles to purchasing a vehicle as in a leading position of Turkey's automotive finance company by developing the concept of "providing and supplying suitable solutions for the financial needs of all actors in the automotive value chain". Adopting a creative and proactive approach as a requirement of having this leading position, Volkswagen Doğuş Finans provides vehicle loans for VW Group brands such as VW Commercial, Audi, SEAT, Skoda, Porsche, Bentley and new and second-hand branded vehicles. With its expertise in vehicle loans, VDF contributes value to every stage of the vehicle lifecycle by offering its customers new and unique financial packages for their specific situations. In addition, as the finance, fleet and insurance sectors change, VDF puts the interests and experience of its customers first. The most important difference that makes VDF special and privileged compared to its competitors is its fast application processes, customer-oriented service approach, competitive interest rates and flexibility in payment plans.

Maintaining its strong position in customer satisfaction and automotive finance service quality, VDF is the first and pioneer in its field to provide users with a loan calculator with the help of its mobile application to see the loan amounts and maturities for all Volkswagen vehicles. A mobile application has also been implemented current and new customers can access the address, phone number, and location of our authorized dealer network across Turkey, as well as receive alerts about credit and insurance products and stay updated on relevant campaigns.

Using a shared OpenShift cluster, VDF had to turn to an alternative structure due to the costs and resource constraints this structure caused. VDF needed a new solution design as it could not move all its operations to the cloud due to local regulations. In response to VDF's primary concern about resource constraints and visibility, we started project work with Google Cloud as a partner. At this point, we stood up as a project-based solution partner with its enriched experience in various sectors.

Using Anthos architecture, we offered solutions to resource problems during the project implementation of VDF with Anthos clusters service networks. With the Anthos transformation project, VDF benefited from the agility offered by cloud technologies as well as the scalability and cost advantage.

With the Anthos project we lead, it provided an effective orchestration solution between VDF's on-premises and cloud environments. Anthos has facilitated these processes by allowing cloud services converted into a single platform and received the approval of VDF during the stress tests of the related product with its fast-scaling feature under load. In addition to all these, thanks to this solution partnership, the over operating costs of OpenShift environments were prevented.

The Anthos solution has helped VDF become more productive, modernize its applications, enable it to run from anywhere, and optimize its resources without having to deal with cluster management and orchestration challenges. One of the biggest benefits of the Anthos project, together with Doğuş Technology, was the separation of the focus area of the IT personnel from operational processes and allocating them to innovative projects with high added value. The teams had the chance to focus on their core responsibilities instead of infrastructure management, and they had the opportunity to work with passion to achieve maximum results with the new architecture.

As partners of Google Cloud and Anthos, we have helped VDF implement hybrid cloud technologies while meeting regulatory requirements. While VDF's applications are being modernized, Anthos can be operated safely from anywhere. While the responsibility of infrastructure management undertaken by Anthos affects the corporate culture positively, it is expected that performance will improve as well as employee loyalty.
